ABOUT THE COLLECTION

In medieval Milan, metal weaving craftsmanship originated from the forging technique of chainmail. Closely interlocked metal units intertwine, featuring sturdy structure and flexible ductility. During the Renaissance, local goldsmiths integrated this craft with Milan’s thriving textile industry, recreating the wrap-and-weft texture of silk and brocade on precious metals, which gave birth to the classic Milanese mesh. Through precise forging and splicing, rigid gold evolved into fabric-like smooth wrist ornaments favored by nobles.

This design takes the traditional Milanese mesh as the core inspiration. It adopts interlocking modular links to restore the orderly texture of woven fabrics, inheriting rigorous traditional goldsmithing and softening the heavy, cold impression of precious metal. Following Italian minimalist luxury aesthetics, the design highlights dimensional metal texture and light-shadow layers, centering creation on craft structure. This piece revives centuries-ole Milanese mesh.
